Description
The Buratinu is a great flying wing RC model. Yet I don't like to start it with a catapult, especially since experience (well, not mine - yet ;)) has shown that it can be thrown just as well. So I made this skid which is bolted underneath the fuselage.
The skid is printed in two parts. After printing, use two “sticks” (carbon rods, wooden chopsticks…) of each 3 mm diameter and 35 mm length to plug the two parts together and glue them generously.
To mount the skid to the fuselage you need three M3 flathead screws, nuts, and washers. The frontmost screw is set into the place of the middle connector screw between the first and second fuselage parts (see photo above). Once this screw has been tightened, you can use the skid itself as a stencil to drill the holes for the second and third screw into the fuselage.
