Servo Valve

August 14, 2023
Description
It prints with no supports and keeps the hose shut as long as you drive the servo. Soft silicone hoses seem to work best.
Cut your servo horn to shape and just put it on the drum. you dont even need to bolt the horn to the servo. as soon as everything is assebled, it wont come apart anymore. the little ring is intended to be used as spacer. if you dont need one, just leave it.
If you want to modify the whole thing to your own needs, you'll find the .step for download too
NOTE: you have to turn the servo in such a way that it pinches the hose on the flat side of the hole. The other way round might work as well, but it is not intended like this
I got heavily inspired by JoeyMcCords robust and practical librevalve but had only standard servos laying around, so i just ended up designing a new valve. since it is in its function and design basicly the same as the librevalve, i taged it as remix
Im still working on a desing which is able to keep the hose shut, even if the servos are not powered. It is a little more “not easy” than i anticipated but if you are intested in such a thing too, stay tuned since im going to upload it as well
