Description

Parametric Print-in-Place Tolerance Test

No-nonsense approach:

  • Use Customizer for creating a test part just for the tolerance you need
  • Small and quick to print
  • Adjustable parameters
  • Clean design to facilitate accurate measurements
    -- no elephant foot
    -- no top layer overhang
-- square so you can check x/y axes separately
  • OpenSCAD source included so you can verify the design!
Example STL has a bolt edge length of 8 mm and a tolerance of 0.25 mm.

I designed this after trying out some popular existing tolerance tests, which highlighted the problem but having all sized in one big part were really wasteful and slow for re-printing them again and again to check the results of tweaking the printer.

The "waist" of my design makes it a bit quicker to print without sacrificing bed adhesion and mechanical stability.
