Moose Antler for Painting

A few years ago I found a moose antler shed in the woods of Northern Alberta. Inspired by the art of Steve Kerr https://stevekerrartist.com/art-work/moose-antler-paintings/ , my wife decided to try her hand at painting a scene on the antler.  Rather than learn on the actual antler, I scanned the original with Kiri Engine, and printed a copy at 0.375 scale- small enough to fit on an Ender 3 in one piece.  

The result turned out quite well, being a nice piece of artwork in its own right, rather than just a “practice project”.  It's reduced size of under 10 inches to a side, is less daunting to paint and find a place to display.  This is as compared to the actual 2.5 foot long, 15 pound original. 

Model is printed in white PLA, at 15% infill and painted in acrylic.

Time will tell if the original antler ever gets painted.
