Lid for Mott’s Applesauce Container

This was originally created for covering an opened Mott’s brand applesauce container.  It quickly became obvious that the containers could also be used for sorting and storing small project parts, screws & nuts, etc.  The lid can be printed in either PLA or PETG depending on the end use, and requires no supports; the model was designed for 0.15mm layer height.

The lid has a small overhang around the rim of the cup with two curved clips (one long and one short).  To attach the lid, hook the long clip under the rim of the cup and press the short clip to snap it into place.  To remove the lid, lift up on the short clip to pop it off.  The lid does not create a water-tight seal, so if used for liquids (including applesauce) keep the container upright (do not tip it on its side or upside down).

There are three models included:

1. Plain lid with flat top
2. Lid with an arrow on top pointing to the short clip
3. Lid with both the arrow and a circular indentation on top that makes it easier to stack multiple containers without the upper ones sliding around.
