Description
DayStar's Genesis MP was a Mac clone from the mid-1990s, and a popular upgrade that owners performed as the machine aged was to swap its original CPU card for a PowerPC G3 upgrade. Those upgrade cards tend to put stress on the motherboard's CPU card-edge connector, though, risking damage. This bracket screws into the chassis on the left side and provides support for CPU cards.
It was designed with the dual-CPU cards from the Power Mac 9500 in mind, though it should be generally the right size and shape to work with other CPU cards – you may just need to move the location of the screw standoff.
