Description
I have a riding mower, a Greenworks 42 Inch Zero Turn Electric. The hose attachment is fairly useless for cleaning the underside from grass and debris. I saw a product that is essentially a spinning sprinkler that you can slide under the mower, but they wanted almost $100 for it.
I decided to make my own version. It is based on the Amazon product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D2ZY411 which sells for about $20 shipped. Unfortunately the unit is too tall, so I made a base for the upper (functional) part that makes it quite a bit lower.
To use, get one of the above mentioned sprinklers, remove the base (two screws), and snap the sprinkler assembly into the newly 3d printed base. No fasteners required!
I printed it on a Bambu X1 Carbon, Sport Mode with 30% infill, no brim, no support, PLA. Took about 1-½ hours. The “ears” in the design (the wings) help prevent the thing from tipping over when you turn on the water.
I use this each time I mow, the under-deck glistens!
Notes: Works best when used on a hard surface, i.e. driveway. Also, raise your deck to the highest position, and do NOT turn on your blades.
