Description
Highly printable 5-hole ocarina, based on the model from @Julius3E8. But when printing that model, I noticed some less than perfect overhangs on the sides near the bottom, where the overhang was the steepest. Therefore I recreated and optimized that ocarina in Fusion 360, based on the dimensions of the model from @Julius3E8. Results are:
-High-resolution model. Perfect smooth curves.
-No steep overhangs (45deg max).
-Original model had a noticeable blind hole, coved with a flat surface. Now its completely smooth.
-Feature (shallow groove) added to front and back, in order to obscure ugly printing seams. Make sure seams are placed somewhere on the inside of these grooves.
I printed them on my Prusa MK4 in ASA with input shaping on at 0.2mm layer height. Then sanded them with 240 grid sandpaper. And finally I vapor smoothed them. See photos for the results. They look and play fantastic! The children LOVE them!
Settings that I used for my prints:
For ASA, I added ‘mouse ears’ to the first layer. Mainly because I was printing 15 items at the time, and wanted to make sure they stayed in the same place the whole print.

I printed in ASA with input-shaping enabled, on my Prusa MK4. Printer firmware 5.0.0-alpha3.
Print time for full print bed with 15 ocarinas at once: 13h51m (~56minutes per ocarina).
Anyway, I'm confident that many other settings will work great as well!
