(Modified) Radiator Grille External To Headlamp Nut (GM #3999700)

This is a modified version of the „Radiator Grille External To Headlamp Nut“ from General Motors, part number #3999700. The part is discontinued and no longer available.

I needed replacements for the brittle original ones of my 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, so I designed this modified version optimized for 3D printing. You will need four of this nuts to secure the turn signals to the radiator grille for all Firebird models built from 1982-1990.

Please print the nut upside down to avoid supports. One nut should be printed in less than 10 minutes, I was using PETG with 25 % infill (shouldn't matter that much).

Just put the nut in the radiator grille (after removing the remains of the original one). The nut will be hold in place by using regular interior screws with washer (ø 3,7 mm), which will spread the nut after mounting.
