Curved Vertical U Shaped Laptop Stand Gasket Ultra Thin

This is an ultra thin gasket replacement for those wooden curved vertical laptops designed for regular sized laptops. This gasket is thinner than the thinnest ones you get with the stand so it allows you to fit in a greater range of laptop thickness. I needed to fit a HP ZBook G9 (2.28cm/0.89" !!) into the stand so needed to redesign a thinner gasket that allows the laptop to sit comfortably and stably in side.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

You will need to print this in TPU or flexible filament. It is pre-supported DO NOT use supports. It's designed with a 0.2mm gap at the top of the pre-build support in order to make it easier to remove but you will need a craft knife to remove it. There was is no way to print this with any kind of generated supports and TPU is a nightmare to glue together and have it remain functional so split it in half is also not an option. 

POST-PROCESSING

Once it's printed you should see a faint line that goes around the top. Slide a craft knife into this and you should be able to slide it all the way round. This is the support material. Where this joins to the bottom part of the gasket is where you need to cut to remove the support material. 

Follow where the red lines are to remove the support which will allow you to slot it onto the stand. You will need to go all the way around but once you've printed it it should be obvious how to do it.
