BMR off ear audio ''headphones''

quick mock up to suspend the tectonic tebm35c10-4 BMR speakers for use as ‘’headphones''

inspired by valves off ear headphones used in the design process for their valve index VR headset.

using my existing design for speaker mounts intended for vr headset bracket designs- using 20x3mm magnets.

headband is to my own headsize, selfishly done very quickly in tinkercad, magnet holes are 20.5mm and 3.1mm deep.

off ear brackets made to position speakers to my own ears, but seeing as there is two rotational points from magnets this can be manoeuvred around for best placement, distance to ears is set by the brackets so will need remix if too close or far away- step file included for this.

basic idea for testing- will need either an amp or USB C audio along with equaliser APO to add more low end and power to speakers.

there is also some experimentation required for speaker cup backing, valve index uses perforated design which could be worth copying, sealing with wadding adds volume but with no porting it loses some punch.
