Bambulab Modular Plate Holder

Introduction

I know that there are many plate olders, but not like this... This one was made with the bambulab subreddit members collaboration, thank you to them.

Special thanks to:

• Tension on base springs (should help with vibration - Thanks to TheAgedProfessor)
• Possibility to add as plate modules you want (many members asked for this). 
• Thanks to Vinnie1169 . you are great, I will try what you have said.
• For the name "Holder" and not docker (thanks to thumptech)

Important notice

Be cairfull when putting the "main_holder" bellow the printer! The printer has some ribs that protrude a bit more, you don't want to break does.

It seems that first generation machines can be lower, (I await confirmation) In that case, you should check the height of yours printer before making the "main_holder" or "lefthand_a_main_holder". 

My machine is a little over 7mm high in base, as you can see in the photo:

If yours is different, please contact me to try to understand how many heights there are and to generate the necessary settings. Only this way I can serve everyone.

Intructions

This holder tries to responde to the major concerns about other versions found on various sites. Should be put on the side of the machine, at the momento on the right side.

• Tries to reduce the vibration propagation to the plates when the machine is moving.
• It accommodates thicker plates (very thick, more than 2mm)
• Infinit number of plates :)

Print special Instructions.

Print the spring element preferably in PETG.

Assembly instructions

Use pliers to insert or remove the top_springs.

Change log

• (07-08-2023) - Small geometric change to part “main_holder.step”, left hand version updated too. The feet that go bellow the printer is now thinner. 
  • Updated all the files, to the most updated version.
• (08-08-2023) - Add "Top_spacer.STEP" for the top, just on case someone made softer springs (decided for other material, or PETG with different Elastic Modulus (E)). This is an optional piece.
