Description
These voltage regulators come in several variations. Some have the polarity in the opposite orientation, some don't have a display, and some have different capacitors or terminals that effect the height.
The model I based this on modifies the original by removing the need for screws and it opens up access to the screw terminals. The modules I bought (Amazon) are a little taller, so I added 1.5mm to the sides and 1mm to the push button extensions. I also enclosed the side with the display for dust protection and deepened the IN/OUT and +/- text for better 2-color printing.
I'd like to round over the edges a little bit in the next version, but if you beat me to it please let me know.
Shout out to Thingiverse users peteeisen21 for the original and byt77860 for the remix.
Print Settings:
Nothing fancy. I used generic PLA, no supports, 0.24mm layer height, but you could get away with any settings you're used to. I changed the color on layer 5 for 0.24mm layers. If you use 0.2mm layers, you will change on layer 6.
I did add a little dot of hot glue in each inside corner under the board. This is just to keep it solidly in place and add a small cushion in case it's hit or dropped. This is purely optional and not needed to keep the cover closed.
