Description
It always seemed to me that the X-56 joystick was designed for bigger hands - the top buttons are just out of reach when my hand is comfortably sitting on the palm rest. I can lift my whole grip to reach to top buttons, but figured there is a more comfortable way to achieve this.
This design raises the hand rest by 5mm into a more comfortable position. It is designed to hold itself in place, but is easy to remove, e.g., if you need to RMA it back to Logitech (X-56 owners will know…) For a more “permanent” solution, a small piece of double-sided tape will suffice.
Printing requires no supports and should be printed with the upper side facing down.
Happy to make different sizes to suit individual needs.
Version History
V1 - First attempt to match the existing hand rest. I think I prefer this one
V2 - Slightly larger overhang closest to the wrist for greater comfort.
Some sanding/rounding over/smoothing of the edge where the heel of your hand rests may improve your experience.
