BMW X5 F15/G05 Roof Rack Wall Mount Hanger

1. Print an insert and wall bracket for each crossbar you want to mount.
   • Important: do not change print orientation. The orientation is to ensure proper layer line direction.
   • Supports will be required for the insert. 
   • I printed it in PETG, 0.3mm layers, 4 perimeters, 20% infill. 
   • Optionally, print a second insert to use as a spacer for the bottom of the crossbar so that it sits flush with the wall when mounted (or attach something about 0.5"/12mm thick where the bottom makes wall contact).
2. Hang each wall bracket using #8 flat head screws and leave them just a bit loose, enough to allow for rotation.
   • Important: the crossbars will capture the insert at an angle so you need to allow the bracket to rotate a few degrees. This allows the insert to make full contact with the bracket and the crossbar to hang vertically.
3. Capture the insert into the crossbar. You should not tighten it down like when installed onto the vehicle as that is too much force for the printed part. Just snug it down enough so that the insert doesn't move.
4. Hang the crossbar onto the bracket and allow it to settle vertically.

Probably also works for the F85 and G18 crossbars, but I haven't tried. I'm also guessing BMW uses the same roof rail profile in other models so if you know of one, let me know in the comments.
