Weighted Base for Soldering Iron

Designed to fit this soldering iron, this 3D printable base provides a stable solution for securing your soldering iron holder so that it doesn't slide around. The model allows for multiple methods of adding weight to keep the base firmly in place.

Options:

• Acrylic Weight Method: Cut acrylic pieces to size, glue them together, and drill a hole for mounting the soldering iron holder. When threaded in, the holder remains tight and stable. Avoid overfilling with acrylic to ensure a flush fit.
• Nuts and Bolts Method: Fill the base with nuts, bolts, or similar items for weight. Secure the holder using a nut underneath, with glue added for extra stability to prevent wobbling.
• Solid Base Method: Use the solid version of the model, printed with high infill for weight or low infill, and fill with sand or small particles. You may need to drill a hole for mounting, but this method offers flexibility in weighting options.

For added grip and to prevent sliding, apply shelf liner to the bottom of the base. (Dollar Tree shelf liner works well!)
