Wheelchair Mate Rail for Permobil Chairs

This Wheelchair Mate rail is part of a project to standardize wheelchair attachments for the entire community. This particular one mounts onto Permobil chairs using 4 M5x30mm bolts and the T-nuts mk.2 file. It's 129.182 mm long or about 5in and even though it's meant for Permobil chairs, it can fit on pretty much any chair that uses 80/20 aluminum prototyping rail.

The rail this attachment converts to is the standard for all wheelchair mate rails and attachment bases. The general workflow moves like this for getting the rail on your chair. Attach a rail base like this one to a chair, make a mount, and screw an attachment onto it. Then you can mount and dismount any attachment you can find or make to your chair with ease.

DISCLAIMER: The purple attachments seen in the pictures are examples of attachments you can add to your rail, but the actual file is the black mounting plate beneath the armrest (as seen in pics).
