Battery adaptation for Nikon CoolPix P500 Camera

The smaller part replaces the internal battery and maintains the original internal circuit by pressing the contacts on the Camera. The original wires internal to the original battery pack are stripped and replaced with longer wires that reach the proper poles in the larger part.

The larger piece accommodates one or two Model 18650 Li-ion batteries and is attached to the side of the camera by the strap on top and a tripod attachment screw positioned at botton.

Batteries must be connected in parallel to maintain voltage. Metal poles contacts inside the larger piece are needed. A single battery is sufficient to drive the circuit. Two batteries prolong the charge and usage time of the camera.

DO NOT CONNECT THE TWO BATTERIES IN SERIES.

Advantages: Easy replacement of more affordable batteries; each model 18650 battery holds more power than the original; Batteries can be charged with the original camera charger or another compatible charger.

Disadvantages: Increased volume and weight of the camera.
