I was disappointed by the lack of customizable name tags for my Prusa MK3S+, so I decided to make my own! The provided file can be opened in PrusaSlicer and customized to your needs!
Also fits great with my camera mount! (4th picture)
Directions for Customization:
- Download “customizableNameTag.3mf” and open in PrusaSlicer
- With nothing selected, hover over the text until it is green and right click → “edit text”
- DO NOT CHANGE THE DEPTH - it is set for the filament change. Replace the “NAME” text with the name of your printer! If your printer's name is too long, just change the “text height.” Depth must stay at 1.20 mm for filament change to match.
- KEEP LAYER HEIGHT AT 0.20 mm and KEEP SUPPORTS ON BUILD PLATE!
- You may choose material and infill but the default 15% is perfect.
- Hit “Slice now.” You should see your name tag with 3-different colors. Each color change is a filament change.
Directions for Filament Change:
- For a 2-color sign, load the filament for your sign color first
- At the first filament change, put in the filament for your text color
- Finally, at the second filament change, load the filament for your sign color once again
- ALL FILAMENT MUST BE OF THE SAME MATERIAL
