Design

As I mostly use Solidworks as means of design, I wanted to be able to use and adapt the box more easily for personal use. The model was interpreted from the original ‘Parametric box V2’ with the provided visuals (without measurements). Consequantly, multiple dimensions differ.

Overall dimensions of the box can be adapted very easily through the overlaying skeleton. As my intended use is specific with similar applications, smaller parameters (hole dimensions, positioning, etc.) where designed fixed.

Adaptations

When testing the box, I noticed that with the current hinges the indentations got caught when trying to close the box. I changed up the indentation to a circular profile as well as removing it at the side of the hinges.

Wall thicknesses and chamfers were changed to better fit the intended applications.
