Description
I sometimes use a Z900 series commercial John Deere mower near the road. I wanted a mirror to help be aware of traffic coming from behind me.
This assembly consists of a mirror mount with ball and a clamp that attaches to the mirror mount and the mower control arm. The assembly can be used on either the left or right control arm. An inexpensive 4x5" convex mirror is attached to the flat side of the mirror mount with double sided tape. The mirror I used was this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00029WVHY
The mirror mount should be printed flat side down with supports from the build surface. The clamp sides should be printed with the flat sides down, also with supports from the build surface. Screw recess supports can be knocked out with a tool or rod via the upper side holes.
Assembly uses M6 stainless hardware (35mm suggested). Nuts can be set into the recesses with a pliers. I printed using ASA for temperature and UV stability with 4 walls, top and bottom layers and 20% grid pattern infill.
Fusion 360 source and STEP files are provided in addition to .STL files.
