Description
This is a jig to help you to drill straight holes on the fly with a hand drill. The jig is simple to use, just align your drill bit flush to the two walls and you're ready to go. The jig is very stable, with a reduced foot print and a good grip.
The jug works with any round drill bit, even forstner ones. You can't use bits that are not round, like spade drill bits.

Rework of an oldtimer easy jig !
It's a tip I learned from my grand'pa. His jig was a simple 45° cut on an offcut block of wood. I made a lot of these jigs by the past, but I lost them as soon as I finished using it ! Because it's just another block of wood... So I wanted something I can keep on a pegboard and stop wasting some time to build another each time I need it !
I wanted a small footprint to be able to use the jig even in small places likes inside a cabinet. A good grip is a must because blocks of wood are not always easy to hold and it slips easily. I did not wanted it to be to high to, because height limits the depht of cut of small drill bits. Last, I wanted the V shape to be large enough to hold small bits to large ones.License:
