Description
My quickdraw keepers for Wild Country Helium quickdraws wore out and after a while I realized that I can just design and print some replacements.
I designed it in Fusion360 with adjustable parameters so they should fit other carabiner and dogbone sizes.
They are designed to print with PA, as it is rather durable but I reckon TPU will work as well. Although the strenght might need to be adjusted, as TPU is more flexible than PA.
The first model I made had a longer handle (the part that goes around the dogbone), but after looking at the original model from my quickdraws I made a shorter handle. So I uploaded three models as step files (12mm handle, 6 mm handle and 0mm handle) as well as the Fusion360 file in which you can change the parameters.
I personally prefer the 12mm, as they are better to grab, and easier to get on the carabiner. But if you go hard and need to save 0.5g/quickdraw, use the ones without handle! ;)
The step file are with parameters adjusted for the Wild Country Helium quickdraws. The fit is rather tight and ensures a good grip, however it requires some convincing to get them on the carabiner.
Print settings:
Material: PA (eSUN) - transparent
Layer height: 0.2mm
Direction: standing upright
Brim: probably yes - (I got away without brim having the PA sticking too well on my bed)
