"A pen is mightier than a sword" pen holder

Description

This is a fun print I designed based on the saying “A pen is mightier than a sword”. It allows you to store two pens or pencils like swords, giving your desk that little viking touch you know it needs. 

All parts fit together, so there is no need to use any glue (unless you want that extra rigidity). 

No supports are required. 

Parts list

• The shield
• The base
• Pen holders - choose the smaller size, if you want to store thinner pens or pencils and the wider one for fountain pens or just thicker pens. They come in regular or longer size - you should print one of both. 
• Pen supports - they keep your weapons from falling. They come in regular or longer size - you should print one of both. 

Assembly instructions

Connect the shield to the base. Then, use regular pen holders and pen supports for one side and longer ones for the other. This assures the pens have enough place and don't cross. 

Recommended print settings

Use thinner layers for the shield, so that you don't lose any detail (0.10 or 0.15 should be enough). You can also use variable layer height. I used 20% gyroidal infill for all parts, however, you can increase the infill density for the base or decrease it for the shield to keep the holder balanced.
