Replacement plug cover for GeoPro 15TB (modified 7/8/24)

This is designed to replace the AC plug cover on a GeoPro 15TB.  It will likely work with other GeoPro models and will work with any other RV using the same style of connector.

You will also need 2 M3 screws around 10mm long.  A round end hex key will also help a lot.

To print

• Align the large flat area with your bed.
• Supports should not be needed
• Use settings that work well with your printer and material combination.

I recommend a durable material like PETG that will survive well outside in the sun.  If you choose to use resin or other UV sensitive materials, you will need to treat them to make them last.  I also recommend a light color (I chose white) to reduce melt risk.

To install:

• insert screws in the holes from inside the part pointing out.
• screw the screws in until the are just visible on the opposite side of the hole.  They should not protrude.  They will be tight.  This is intentional and necessary.
• put the part in position and tighten the screws.  They should engage the existing holes in the original mounting plate.  They will not engage any threading, the screws act as a rod in a socket to keep the part from moving out of place.

To close the cover, rotate it into position and give it a solid smack with your hand.  It is a tight fit and will require some force.  It will also take some effort to pry it open.

I have included a .svg file for optional vinyl decals.  It is designed to cut in three colors.  The largest rectangular piece is intend to match the color of your print material, the solid circle is designed to be high contrast (I used cricut brand tangerine and it matches the colors of the RV rather well).  The final detail piece should contrast with both the base color and the contrast color (I used black).  Sorry, there are no alignment guides as this isn't particularly difficult to align, has decent tolerance, and perfect alignment is not critical.  I found it easiest to put the detail part on transfer tape, then apply that to the contrast piece and finally to the background.

After approximately a year in service and a little abuse, my original print failed.  The layer lines around the screw holes separated under the strain of real world use including pushing it a little too far open on one occasion.  The replacement failed promptly upon tightening the screws.  I have uploaded a new model which retains the screws with nuts rather than screwing them directly into the plastic.  This should reduce some of the strain on the part and increase its longevity.
