Description
I think pretty much everybody who gets started in machining as a hobby buys one or more of these end mill sets when they get a milling machine. They're not usually the highest quality cutters, but they're a convenient way to have an assortment of different sizes on hand when you are starting out. They tend to come in a junky little wood or plastic case.
Here's a replacement case that fits the set into a single Gridfinity square. I had to put them a little closer together than I would have liked, but it seemed silly to use an additional square. Just arrange them so that the two largest mills are not side by side, and you shouldn't have any trouble with them making contact with each other. I noted that the original cases were made with holes of varying depth so that all of the different sizes protrude the same amount. If desired, print 10mm cylinders of whatever height is needed to achieve this, and drop into the holes. You could also modify the stepfile, or add the cylinders to the model directly in the slicer. I personally prefer the way it looks with the holes all the same depth.
Like my other Gridfinity models, the base is altered to accept 6x3 magnets as a press fit, with the upper surface of the magnet holes modified to make the slicer bridge across correctly for a clean result.
