Description

Minimalist Stand for 58mm Bottomless Naked Portafilter.  Compatible with a wide range of 58mm bottomless / naked portafilters and height adjustable model files (~16mm min height)

This model is comprised of two parts which screw together

  1. Portafilter Stand Insert - the height can be scaled in a slicer program to accommodate the height you need for your portafilter setup.  The diameter of the insert is 58mm which seems to work with the various bottomless/naked portafilters I have available.
  2. Portafilter Stand Base - the base adds a height of 15mm to the stand and is reusable by swapping out different sized inserts depending on your portafilter

Instructions

  1. Measure the exact height you need for the stand based on your portafilter setup

  2. Subtract 15mm from that measurement (the base adds a fixed height of 15mm)

  3. In PrusaSlicer (or the slicer of your choice) load the Insert 3mf file and merge the two objects.  Scale the height of the Cap and adjust the z-position of the Thread accordingly

  4. Print!
  5. Screw the two parts together.

If you have different types of portafilters, you can have multiple Inserts that with a single reusable base.

Print Settings

  • PETG recommended due to the temperatures involved
  • Nozzle size, layer height, infill, perimeters of your choice.  I printed on a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm layer height with 3 perimeters and 50% infill. (shown in pictures)
