Description
A crane designed for a grade 11 technological design project in which a crane was to be designed to be transported to the moon for construction of a moon base. It had to fit within a certain set of dimensions to be transported and had to be assembled once arrived without the use of glue or external fasteners for ease of assembly. It then had to lift a set load. The crane was to be CNC machined out of acrylic and the pin bearing the load was 3D printed from PLA, but was never fully constructed as the project took too long to machine and another student had broken the endmill I was using on their own project, preventing me from machining some of the pockets in the crane design as another endmill would have to be purchased which would take time. All the parts could probably also be 3D printed, but would take quite a while.
This model was created using Fusion 360.
