Description
Hello everyone :)
There are already many different solutions to prevent dust or small plastic parts from falling into the hole in the Z-engine.
Unfortunately, none of them appealed to me so far, so I developed my own solution.
While my first design was being printed, I went to the gym and came up with two more possible solutions, which I quickly constructed straight afterwards.
So just choose one of the solutions :D They all have their advantages and disadvantages!
If you choose the Dust Cover (as I did) here is the assembling instruction.
2. Moove the Z motors a little around and veryfy that the dust cover does not touch the thread.
3) Install the second half of the dust cover and moove the Z motors again.
Ideally, none of the dust guards should touch the thread of the Z-axe.
Material: I recommend using PETG as with the rest of the printer to avoid warping due to heat. Especially of used inside an enclosure.
Have fun and keep printin!
