Description
Become a cartwheel maker! Print and assemble this cute old wooden cartwheel.
The cartwheel really consists of 12 single spokes which give the cartwheel a realistic look. The cartwheel is 10 cm (3.94 inches) high and 0.5 cm (0.2 inches) thick.
Please do not resize the model in your slicer, as the tolerances are designed for the present size.
This cartwheel is part of a future project "The old wine barrel cart" which will be released soon.

Check if one of the spokes fits into each hole of the rim. Note that the spokes have two sides. One side is shaped to fit into the rim and the other fits into the hub. If your printer has placed the seam in one of the holes, you maybe have to use s small screw driver to enlarge this hole.
Create a structure is shown on the picture with four spokes, the rim and one of the hub parts. Use a bit of glue on each side of the spokes.

Cartwheel assembly part 2
Insert all the spokes. Make sure that each spoke sits firmly into its hole in the rim. Use a bit of glue on each side of the spokes.
Cartwheel assembly part 2
Cartwheel assembly part 3
Glue the second part of the hub onto the first part. Press it firmly so that the spokes sit well in their insets. Use the assembly helper pin to make sure that the two parts of the hub align well. This is important if you would like to use the cartwheel for the wine barrel cart project later on. Remove the align helper pin.
Let the glue dry.

Use some glue to fix the first metal hub ring onto the hub. Slide it all the way onto the hub so that it touches the spokes.

Turn the cartwheel over and use some glue to fix the second metal hub ring onto the hub. Slide it all the way onto the hub so that it touches the spokes.

Glue the outer metal rim to the existing rim.
The assembly is now complete and you have created a very cute cartwheel. It can be used for my future project "The wine barrel cart".
