Mini Skidi Cargo Box Challenge

The parts for this challenge include a 3-piece arena that is intended to be taped down to a table top or smooth floor. Use 3M tape, or something similar so it does not leave any permanent marks on the surface. This challenge can be completed by the bucket-only Skidis, but you are free to use any version.

Start the cargo boxes in the orientation shown in the second photo, as the first task is to reorient the largest box to accept the other two. The arena allows you to push the boxes into the wall to load them into your bucket.

The Mini Skidi's job is to stack all 3 cargo boxes on top of each other so they sit fully in the recess of the box below. (see cover photo) No box is allowed outside this recess of the box below. (You can't sit a box on the top edge of another).

A timer will start at the beginning and, ideally, the Mini Skidi will stop the time. This implementation is still being developed. Some ideas are to get a timer with a button on top that the Skidi can push with the bucket. Another, might be to use a tablet or phone with a conductive pad hovering near the stop button so the Skidi can push and stop the timer.

A head-to-head competition could be set up using two kits (and two Skidi's) and instead of using a timer, the fastest Skidi would hit a "flag" to declare itself the winner. The flag mechanism is currently being developed.

Print Settings:

I printed in PETG, but PLA should work fine. You want a certain 'weight' to the boxes, so don't go too light.

Everything uses 0.3 layer height. You could use 0.2, it just takes longer
I used Rectilinear infill, grid, cubic or gyroid should be fine; you want homogenous density.

large cube: 33g
2 perimeters; 3 top/bottom walls
15% infill (rectilinear, but can use almost anything)

medium cube: 33g
20% infill (perimeters as above)

small cube: 12g
3 perimeters & top/bottom walls
50% infill

Arena: 75g
3 perimeters & top/bottom walls
20% infill
