Description
Want to push the limits of what your 3d printer is capable of? Give this model a try. You MUST have your print settings dialed in or this print will fail. Are you up for the challenge?
I've oriented everything in it's optimal printing order so you won't need to mess with that. File has been split to make it possible for multicolor printing. The strands suspending the humming bird are .4mm wide and .2mm thick. If you do not have your line width and height set to at least that, the strands will not print.
Supports are needed underneath the tail. I highly suggest that you increase the z distance on the supports here as they will literally need to pop off with zero effort or you will ruin the entire print. The portions of this print that touch the build plate are extremely thin and need to stay adhered to the build plate for at least 3 hours. If you have any issues with warping, this print will fail. There are also massive overhangs for the back portion of the stand, you can try and add supports to this but I didn't bother.
Although this is on the more difficult side to print, the results are extremely satisfying. You'll definitely get to brag about completing this one and will be a talking piece for sure.
