Description
The Mk2 replacement of the original!
The Mk2 replacement requires the same hardware as the original with a few additional parts as stated below.
Original hardware required:
x2 606 bearings
x1 M6 threaded rod cut down to 50mm
and the stud that goes into the chair (the metal pin from the original wheel)
A new improved wheel with smaller diameter to reduce the stress on the axle and threaded inserts to improve longevity.
Mk2 Wheel requirements:
In addition to the above you will need,
Locktite 222 or equivalent thread-locking fluid
M6 heated insert for the new wheel hubs.
Print off the hub and 2 Mk2 wheels,
Press the bearings into both sides of the hub,
Slot through the cut down rod,
Press in the M6 heat set inserts into the new Mk2 wheel hubs,
Apply a small amount of Locktite to both the threaded rod and wheel hub inserts,
Thread on the wheels to both end of the threaded rod.
Done! now you don't have to get a replacement chair or spend silly money on a replacement wheel :)
