Description

Did you load way too much crap on top of your tool chest, and then jump the curb?  Well then,  this is the solution my friend!  This wheel is the exact dimensions you need to get back on the move, for much less expense than a new tool chest.

Since this is a functional part designed to be stronger than the original I changed some slicer settings.  I set number of perimeters to 12, and I changed the infill to cubic 30%-40%.  Print with the “nipple” facing up, supports are not necessary the bridging is short.  I printed mine in PETG over a year ago and haven't had a single problem.  It is super satisfying rolling around smoothly on a wheel you made.  If you need it, you should try it!

To install the new wheel, first remove what is left of the old wheel and axel hat nut that retains the wheel on the axel.  You can use pliers or vise grips to help you get the nut off.  If you are careful removing the axel nut or good at reshaping metal then you can likely reuse the same nut.  If the axel hat nut is a loss no big deal, this type of item is most likely available at your hardware store for cheap.  Here is an example  https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-2-in-Zinc-Plated-Axle-Hat-Nut-811631/204274218 .   To reinstall the new wheel place the tool chest on its side so that the new wheel will be on the top.  It is important to firmly support the the bottom side axel nut before using the hammer to put the new/old axel nut back on.  Place the new wheel over the axel and put the axel hat nut on top of the axel.    Using a hammer, gently tap the new axel hat nut down into place.  When it stops moving you are done!

Enjoy the smooth roll!  Remix as you see fit!
