Application / Functions

For a personal project, I will be making an open shelf out of MDF. As I will make grooves in the vertical panels, I wanted a guide which enabled me to drill everything perfectly, on the vertical panels as well as the shelves themselves.

As I understand not everybody has the same panels or thicknesses, I experimented with making the model Parametric. In Fusion360, I have no real experience so please let me know how well it works.

To access the parameters, just open the file and browse to Modify>Change parameters. There you get a pop-up screen which displays all parameters. Parameters which I thought were handy to change are highlighted with favourites, but you could also change everything else.

• Good fit;
• Guide slides over the groove cutouts (variable depth) to ensure perfect alignment (picture coming soon, need to cut out the panel first);
• Chamfered hole for quicker use;
• Automatic stop so holes align perfectly to the center of the plate.

Future improvements
