Description
This is another Bambu Labs X1 Carbon foot I made in Fusion 360. I made this to be able to screw the foot directly to the printer with a M3x35 screw and washer. It has a removable support for the screw hole. I am using 1.25" Sorbothane Hemisphere DUR 70 which can be purchased online. With the AMS the DUR 50 is to soft and not recommended for the weight. You can leave the support in if you do not want to screw them to the printer. They are a semi tight fit without the screw. I am also a little OCD so I created an alighnment tool to center the hemisphere on the foot. I have used Sorbothane feet on my Prusa for ever and love them.
I printed it with Bambu Basic Green PLA and Default settings on a Wham Bam Smooth PEX Sheet. I would only use a smooth sheet so you have a good surface for the hemisphere to stick. Depending on your printer the screw hole might be a little snug. There are 2 parts in the file please move them together. You will also get a warning that they are to close. It is fine print as is so not correct the error. This normal for the way I designed it.
1 - Remove the glass top and lay the printer on it's side.
2 - Remove the factory rubber foot from the printer.
3 - Remove the factory screw from inside the center foot hole on the printer.
4 - Using a flat head scredriver insert it into the center slot on the bottom of the printed foot and twist it to break free the support. You can also push the screw through to help break out the support if needed and ream the screw hole out with the screw if it is to tight.
5 - Inserted the new printed foot and secure with a M3x35 Hex Socket screw and washer. Try not to over tighten it.
6 - Attached the Sorbothane Hemisphere to the bottom of the foot. Optionally use the included template to center the hemisphere if you're OCD like me.
