Description
The door bell button someone installed to control the garage door from the inside of the house would fail in a way that the door would open randomly without touching it. And when they painted the white trim, they were too lazy to remove the button and got paint on it which always drove me bananas.
So I modeled this bracket that holds one of my spare remotes in place to use as a permanent garage door button. It uses the existing screws and screw holes from the old door bell button and covers the ugly hole left behind. The remote clips in firmly and can be removed easily by pulling straight up if I need to replace batteries. The design fixes the problem of my garage randomly opening and generally looks much better.
