Description

Use these to simplify removal and refitting of struts on the V1 Engineering MPCNC Lowrider 3.

While it is possible to use them without any adhesive, for best results I recommend the use of a small amount of five minute epoxy on one or two facets of the nuts that aren't fully captured before installation.

I have used epoxy on the nut recesses in the standard braces for the rear strut.

The “Captivators” are a very tight fit with zero tolerance allowed in assembly, so are best printed at a relatively fine (0.2mm) layer height and to be sure, using the same filament as used when printing the braces.

They don't need to be glued in place to function, however I used a tiny dab of superglue to ensure they don't slip out of place during future disassembly.  With a little luck I've used sufficiently little glue to enable them to be broken away should that be required for some reason in the future.

Note that the bottom front parts  come in three “flavours” (Front, L and R) - one without indents, and one each for the end braces with recesses to fit over the plate/rail mounting screws.
