Drill Press with Modular Tool Mount

This model is a REMIX of pejvl2000's model which is itself a remix of3Deddy's model from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4148260

If requested I can post the assembly instructions and BOM here but I would recommend looking at the original model for detailed instructions.

Parts I used that differ from the original are as follows:

• 22mm Steel rod (instead of 22mm pipe because that is what I could source)
• Heavier extension springs (due to the increased weight of the solid steel rod)
• x2 ¼" Threaded end caps (for tightening the tool holder assemble together)

I printed the blue parts using PETG and the orange ones with ABS.

Edit: My original design for the vertical guide had a large chamfered piece under where the lever mounts to prevent needing supports, this also prevented attaching the levers. I've updated the model to have a much thinner chamfered piece that must be removed after printing.

For anyone that does plan on making this and mounting it to a panavise bench clamp, you will have to do some sanding for it to fit as my tolerances were a ways off (at least for my make).

I had a lot of fun building this project and learned a lot, the press carried me all the way through building a Voron 2.4 and all the heat set inserts that it entailed.

This was my first big design and 3d printing project so if anyone has any critiques or tips for this design or future models please let me know.
