Description
A simple mid century modern Malm fireplace. Modeled after the 34" Malm, made for 1:12 dollhouses.
No supports needed. I printed this with 20% infill and a wall thickness of .8mm, wall line count of 5 because I wanted it to be strong enough for a kid to play with it. It's pretty solid. It's also a perfect fit in my dollhouse- it has enough clearance to reposition, but is tight enough that it won't move on its own.
I left it in two separate pieces so it wouldn't be as difficult to print. (Plus my 3D printer can't do more than one color and I wanted the base to be a different color than the rest) Glue the base on the bottom in the center.
If you print it, please add a make :)
I used some shapes in TinkerCad, looked up the dimensions to a real 34" Malm fireplace, and created my own. I'm not sure if the stove pipe is the proper diameter and I know the pipe is slightly shorter than the original model. My living room ceiling is 7.5" or 190.5mm, so I designed this to be 190mm high.
