Print instructions:

  • I printed all the tools in PLA and they're holding up perfectly fine.
  • The ideal thickness of the caliper alignment tool is 0.35mm. So set your first layer to 0.2mm and print with a layer height of 0.15mm. I printed everything else with a layer height of 0.2mm.
  • To make sure the rotor truing tool is strong enough I suggest using 4 perimeters and to print it in the provided orientation.
  • I inserted one 5x1mm magnet into each of the caliper alignment tools. This makes it easier to use them, but they also work fine without.

How to use:

  1. Remove the wheel.
  2. Loosen the break caliper screws.
  3. Use the wedge to push back the brake pad pistons.
  4. Re-insert the wheel and place both caliper alignment tools on the break disk. Then rotate them into the break pads.

  5. Engage the breaks and tighten the brake caliper screws.
  6. You're done! If necessary, use the rotor truing tool to fix bends in the rotor.
(I prefer version A but version B is the more traditional design.)

Do not engage the breaks while the wheel is removed! It can push out the pistons and it will get messy!
