Description
This is a replacement lever for the Zhiyun Weebill S camera gimbal, specifically the levers for x and y adjustment of the camera.
My friend's gimbal broke while doing a wedding shoot, and when he tried to buy a replacement part he had to contact the company directly and it was $40 plus shipping for the part. He then remembered he has a friend with CAD and a 3D printer, so he reached out to me to see if it was something I could tackle. I said yes, thinking it was a simple cam lever, however after disassembling I realized it had a much more complicated geometry hidden within -it almost seems the part has an overcomplicated design to make it hard to replace (a 9 spoke gear, really?!). I simplified the geometry a bit to make it stronger and printer-friendly, and after a few minor alterations, I printed it out of CF Nylon at 100% infill to make sure it was nice and sturdy. The part works great and seems it will hold up well, but I printed a few extras for him to keep in his camera bag in case mine or any of the original parts meet a similar fate.
