Squirt Bottle Cap / Squeeze Bottle Cap with link for 250ml bottles

Had a squirt bottle cap link break on you and lost the bottle cap?
Your cap didnt come with a bottle link and the cap vanished into a parallel universe straight before your eyes?
Or perhaps your bottle come entirely without cap making it useless for storage?
You can't find replacement caps anywhere, forcing you to buy yet another entire pack of bottles with flimsy linked caps?

All this ends now! Not just a replacement, this is better than the original!

This is a Squirt Bottle / Squeeze Bottle cap with link replacement for common 250ml bottles, e.g. these from Amazon (non-affiliate link) - the design however is ubiquitous, and if you have 250ml squirt bottles chances are good this will fit.

I've had multiple of the original linked bottle caps break on me, and subsequently lost the bottlecaps themselves, leaving the contents to dry out really fast, making the perfectly intact bottle itself useless and in danger of being thrown away. Not any more!

WILL IT FIT?

The cap itself will fit squirt nozzles with a outer nozzle diameter (thickest point) of 5-6mm.

For versions with link: will fit bottle threads with a diameter of 21,5mm-ish (measured below the threads).
The 72mm version (same lenght as original cap) will fit common 250ml squeeze bottles like the ones from the link above with a horizontal nozzle lenght (measured after the bend) of 50-60mm.

I've also added 100mm and 160mm versions for bottles with longer nozzles or if you want to the link to have more slack and not constantly get in the way.

If you, like me, love having the cap linked to the bottle, but find it annoying dangling in front of the thing you want to squirt liquid on/into, I suggest using the 160mm version arching towards the nozzle from behind like this:

I don't have any other size bottles to test or adapt this replacement cap to, so if you can confirm this cap to work for bottle sizes I will gladly update the description. Of course, I've added the the .STEP files for you to edit and adapt the design to your own bottle - and I could also help you out with a print file if you provide measurements for your specific bottle.

PRINTING

I recommend a flexible filament like TPU or at least PETG in order for the link not to break and to get a proper seal. No Supports or brim required, but I do suggest printing the first layer very slowly for sufficient adhesion. 0.4mm nozzles and below at a layer height of 0.20mm will work fine, but the smaller the layerheight the sturdier and better sealing the cap will be. I suggest using the smallest nozzle and layer height available to you.

I myself used red PETG, which works perfectly.

USAGE

Screw off the nozzle, screw on the linked cap - done! Sturdier than the original linked caps, this design is built to last!
