Description
These are only the parts I modified to work on my machine, you also need The_ID_of_Ed's files for the rest of the pieces. The Z axis mounts are all modified, the rear Y encoder bracket is modified (lengthened), the X encoder mount is modified to clear a block on my carriage. The photo for the X encoder mount shows two pieces, the mount and a spacer, but I updated the file to incorporate the spacer into the mount. You may need to thin the mount in that area depending how you mount the scale to the table and just how much you space it from the table.
There seem to be a lot of variations between different eras of the same basic machine, on mine most notably was in the casting of the head. I shortened a 200MM scale for my Z axis because I couldn't find 150MM at a reasonable price, and needed to shorten the 600MM X axis scale to fit the chosen mounting points of my table but the 250MM Y scale is untouched. Glass scalescan be shortened after you disassemble them, I used a metal bandsaw. There are some videos on Youtube that cover the shortening process. Z
