Description
I completely remodeled the design to use less filament, be supportless, snap together, and a scaled down version. I also got rid of the extra holes for potentiometers. Mine uses a SPI controller (WS2812B-Controller-Bluetooth-USB) (Google “WS2812b controller” You got options to pick from basic, bluetooth, wifi, usb plug or dc plug.)
, a rocker switch 10x15mm , and WS2812b LEDS. If you don't use the power switch it can be a solderless project. So it can be perfect for beginners.
I also added some new diffusers and shades.
The original model is 282mm or 11" tall. The scaled down measures 185mm or 7.3" tall.
Print the diffusers with the notches at the top!! Not all have them, but most do.
Super easy to assemble, you only have 3 wires red-power, green-data, and white-ground. The power supply will need to be 5v. If you get the controller with a usb then any old phone charger will work or a 5V 2Amp power supply (more amps won't hurt but less might not be enough) Then just use the remote or app to start using it. Side note when setting up the strip in the app you might have to change the color order. Some strips are G,R,B instead of R,G,B.
