Scope covers

I'm using Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50  scope with a sun shade and low scope rings on top of a canted Picatinny rail. This brings the front edge of the sun shade very close to the barrel. 

The fit is so tight that I can't use my favorite Vortex Optics Defender Riflescope Flip Cap, since its rubberized walls come into contact with the barrel.

I wanted to find a “bikini” caps for my scope, but I didn't want those with “ears” to hold the elastic cord at 180 degree, since they stick out too much.

So Instead I designed both caps with less protrusive “ears”, keeping the elastic cords closer to the action. Front cap designed with a cut out at the bottom, to clear the barrel.

The caps are designed to be used with two pieces of 1/8-Inch (3mm) elastic cord. It's going to be a tight fit, but you should be able thread them through, tie a knot and pull it back into the cap's “ear”

I printed my with Prusa PETG, 20% infill, with supports for overhangs inside of the larger holes (where the knot should go)
