Description
This model was designed with the blind in mind. DNA is a very complex molecule and it can be challeging to visualize with just words. While pictures are a useful tool for understanding this concept, there are students with visual impairment who should be taken into account. This 3D structure is meant to aid these students with a tactile representation.
This model includes a version with braille letters to represent A, T, C, and G bases. To help read the letters the right way, a character with two dots(itallic prefix symbol/uppercase in spanish) has been added at the left of each letter.
Print with quality or scale it to be bigger, since the details are necessary to assemble the model. A lot of infill is not necessary; can be printed with 5%. Use supports for the pins, but not for the holes.
If this model was used with visually impaired students, please leave feedback to make it better.
