Replacement Gas Cap Tether for Nissan Frontier

There's a few gas cap tethers on here already, but none of them fit my 2014 Nissan Frontier. So I modeled up one compatible with that vehicle.

I'd lost the original plastic peg that held the tether to the door so I designed this one to be press-fit into place. Fit and retention force seems good. However, I did include a STEP file if anyone wants to change the press-fit back to the original ring design.

This should be printed in a TPU or a similar flex material. I have not tested, nor do I suspect it will work well, in a rigid filament.

Compatibility:

As mentioned this is for the OEM gas cap on a 2014 Nissan Frontier. If you suspect it might be compatible with your vehicle based on general appearance I'd check these two measurements:

•  Inner diameter of the gas cap ring = 60mm
• Diameter of the hole on the door = 4.75mm

Here are the print settings I had success with:

• 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle
• 4 bottom layers, 5 top layers, 4 perimeters
• 15% infill

This does not need any supports.
