Guide for Bosch PHO100 Planer

A simple guide fence for keeping the planer square to the workpiece. For example, when trimming doors or trueing timber.

Now, I've had this planer longer than I've had my kids. As my kids are approaching 30, well... you do the maths!

For all of that time I've intended to get the official guide accessory. But, somehow, I never got around to it. You know how it is; something always comes up, and it gets put to the back of the list until the next time you use the planer.

The current price of the official one is around £25 - £30, which seems a lot for some bent metal and some M6 bolts and wingnuts. Or maybe I'm getting to that stage where things seem expensive because, back in my day...

So this is my take on one. It won't stand up to the knocks like a metal one, but if it gets mashed, I'll soon print another. It only took around three and a half hours from start to finish.

Despite building in a tolerance, I still found the the slider is a little tight on the bracket's runner. But a few moments work with a needle file soon takes care of it.

The knobs for the M6 nuts and bolts are Metac's lovely design (Thing 2940200). I do like to design my own things, but It was scarcely worth such effort when he'd already done such a sterling design job earlier this year!

You won't need any supports, but you will need to rotate the stls for both parts. I'm sure an intelligent person like you can manage this without my help, though!
