Lounger Repair Piece

Simple replacement part for the type of lounger in the pictures. It's nothing fancy; just a slightly simplified copy of the original. It doesn't carry much load - and simply exists to control twist in the frame - but I beefed it up a little where the original manufacturers had skimped, to try to stop it fatiguing in the same place again.

The shape was relatively simple to reproduce in SketchUp, but I simplified some areas because a perfect copy simply wasn't necessary.

I printed the STL, exactly as oriented, using a 70% fill for strength, and added tree support to carry the "tunnel" and the part that sits above the buildplate. It took about 4 and a half hours to print and the clean-up of support was pretty easy.

It all worked almost perfectly - except that the observant amongst you will note I made a small measuring error that meant I had to ream out the oval hole that carries the frame tube. I was only out by about by about 0.4mm. Not much, but a nuisance nonetheless.

It hasn't affected the functioning of the printed part, but I've revised the attached STL in any case. Any future prints should work fine without having to do this.

The attached file produces a bracket for the left side (when sitting) of the frame. If you need a right-handed part, your slicer should have a "mirror" function that will flip the design accordingly.
